So many times in life, people abuse their bodies and try to fulfill a dream. They eat whatever they find around, they are too busy planning a period of drinking enough water or engaging in enough physical activities. They hardly find time for relaxation and they are constantly stressed. They use their bodies to fulfill their dreams. They may succeed, feel fulfilled for a while, and applaud the world, but their bodies may collapse sooner than they can imagine, and thus unable or available to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
Health is a state of social, physical and mental well-being, not just the absence of illness, and that is what God is interested in. Don’t just bask in the euphoria of not lying in the hospital bed or hoping that anytime illness knocks at your door, you must be able to resist.
Some people think that they do not have to do anything about their health because they felt that their physical, mental and social health is okay. Whatever your health condition, you need to play your part to continue to enjoy good health.
There are laws and natural health laws that you must abide by. Some of these laws include:
Knowledge Law: Don’t despise knowledge, even if you think you don’t need it now. You can save it as a wise man. Many people despise knowledge in various aspects of their lives and get into trouble. Whatever is a judge for being right by nature, one should not despise. For example, several studies have shown that certain foods, stressful lifestyles and physical inactivity are associated with non-communicable diseases. It would be suicidal for a person to consume an excessive amount of such foods, not exercise at all and live a stressful life continuously in the name of believing in good health. Such an attitude is not faith, but rather stupidity.
Nutrition Law: The cells that make up every organ in your body are formed by the food you eat; therefore, you should eat proper food (health diet) if you want these cells and thus your body to be healthy.
You need to eat from all the basic food groups including fruits and vegetables every day. You need five servings of fruits and vegetables. Avoid excess sugar, salt, fat (including meat) and calories.
Hydration Act: Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and don’t wait until you’re thirsty. Spread it around day by day; don’t drink too much at a time
Physical Activity: You must participate in training (including walking) for at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week. Furthermore, learn to move generally rather than sit somewhere. It improves all the systems in your body and prevents various chronic diseases. If your weight is above normal, you need more exercise to burn the fat.
Adequate rest and relaxation: An average person needs about 8 hours of sleep and rest daily. Strive to move near it, even if you cannot get eight hours a day. Be sure to rest one day a week and at least four weeks a year away from your usual activities.
Avoid overtime: Plan your life in such a way that you can do less and earn more. Learn to relax, take time to laugh and do other things you enjoy for some time daily. Shape and maintain healthy conditions, avoid those that stress you.
Other measures to ensure good health include personal and environmental hygiene, exposure to sunshine, detoxification, tobacco and alcohol avoidance, avoiding critical sex, regular check-ups and prompt treatment.
