That virtual health expo, which aims to capture new opportunities for the sector in the middle coronavirus disruption is held for 15 days and companies that manufacture health products from Gujarat and across the country are expected to attend the expo. The Expo is likely to be held from May 15.
“This will be the first virtual expo for healthcare,” says the president of SGCCI, Ketan Desai. “We have already designed the virtual 360-degree content for the expo and that about 25 companies from the healthcare industry have already registered,” Desai added
According to Desai, the virtual expo has been designed in such a way that visitors get the feeling that they are visiting a live show. The virtual expo runs 24×7 for 15 days and anyone from anywhere in the world and without the cost of flights and hotel can visit the expo.
The venue and the stand of all exhibitors are rendered to real physical dimensions. Visitors will be encouraged to register and navigate through the hall and visit the stands, complete with 3D products, HD videos and literature downloads, generating real-time inquiries.
Another benefit of the virtual expo is that exhibitors will be able to update their products in their stands regularly. Visitors’ entry and registration is free to visit the virtual expo.
“The healthcare industry will become a promising sector in the era of the spread of coronavirus. Demand for PPE, personal hygiene products, masks, sanitary products, protective medical equipment and other important products will increase” added Devesh Patel, chairman of the SGCCI Exhibition Committee.
Patel added, “We have organized more than 50 webinars on various topics since the lockdown was announced after March 25. Once the virtual expo is successful, we will organize more such expo that makes optimal use of digital platform”.
