Quarantine meal ideas! 6 easy, healthy recipes to make at home! The majority of these recipes can be made with items you already have in your freezer or pantry, so you can make them already, or you can purchase items once through grocery delivery / grocery store and make them for weeks to come. These are the healthy pantry meals and healthy freezer meals we have made to cut down on grocery stores! These meals are also made with ingredients that all still need to be stocked in stores. Fortunately, the fresh produce is not sold and the pantry stuff like flaxseed / almond flour is still available [everyone is rushing on the toilet paper, not the bananas!] so hopefully you can try these!
Recipe for peanut butter protein ball
[not my original recipe, just the favorite one I found and what I currently use]
1/4 cup of flaxseed
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup of oats
2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
Gnocchi + peppers
Frozen cauliflower nocchi from traders [any gnocchi works]
Frozen or fresh pepper
Frozen falafel from trader joes
cucumber [add red onion tomato if you have it, I just only had cucumber!]
Blender banana pancakes
Basic recipe is 1 banana for 1 egg.
I add almond flour and oats and a tablespoon of flaxseed.
You could make it with just a banana and egg, or just oats or just almond flour if you had one or the other. I add flour / oats to get thicker and make it a thicker pancake versus a very thin pancake.
Chicken noodle soup [I keep chicken stock and chicken in the freezer, so most of the ingredients you can keep on hand!]
1 ct low sodium chicken stock
1 chicken breast
celery, onions, carrots, potatoes and noodles
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 cup almond milk
